Samarog Raid Guide

Intro

is the third boss of Wing 4. It has 1 pre-event. The boss fight has 3 main phases and 2 mini-boss phases.

You use the following Masteries and mounts:

Bring lots of CC for and Spears of Aggression/Revulsion.

There are 2 tanking strategies:

1 special role:

(Envoy II) : 触摸 before the fight, get hit by ,and then survive the fight.

Pre-Event: Opening the Door

After killing 灭世魔监工 ,go west, up the stairs, and to the closed door.

If you're a Thief class, to skip the pre-event, use the Thief-only option at the door. If you're a non-Thief class, use the door, search 4 nearby Rubble for keys, and then use them on the door.

If not skipping the pre-event, you need to find 4 keys. Use the door, so you can search Rubble. Search Rubble; nothing happens, but you get its key. (For the Rubble nearest to the door, go downstairs first.) With keys, use the door again. Keys can be used in any order.

When all 4 keys have been used (or when a 盗贼 opens the door), the door to arena opens.

Boss: Samarog

Main Phase 1 (100% to 66%)

Before fighting, put raid markers on the minimap. For mini-boss phases, stack at Arrow (near the alcove)。 Rigom's Fixate goes to Circle (in front of the alcove); Guldhem's Fixate stays at Arrow. After Rigom goes to Circle, Push/Pull him to boss, Immobilize him, and then kill Guldhem. Kill Rigom.

You start outside of an arena surrounded by spears.

The fight begins when you go into the arena.

The boss targets the Fixated player for regular attacks and Brutalize: first Fixate is the closest player, while other Fixates target the furthest player after Brutalize. If you're using tanks, be careful running in! Fixate is chosen using SERVER-side distance to the boss, NOT PLAYER-side distance! The screen is wrong!

The person closest to becomes as the first tank.

If tanking, face away from the squad. Move as needed to avoid attacks.

first uses 。 Use 稳固 ,a channeled block, 翻滚 ,or stand behind it. Tank moves to the side to avoid

To avoid Prisoner Sweep, move beside/behind the boss. Be careful! It causes big Knockback! If you hit the spikes around the arena, you instantly die!

It then uses only hit in front of 。 Tank moves to the side to jump over 。 Everyone jumps over the shockwaves.

To avoid Shockwave, move beside/behind the boss, and then jump over the shockwave. Be careful! Shockwave causes big Knockback!

When the large orange AoEs appear on the ground, move out of them before they fill. causes massive damage on impact.

Spears of Aggression/Revulsion randomly spawn in the arena, removing safe areas. As needed, use ranged attacks/CC to kill Spears in the middle of the arena and near the alcove.

Every 10% (90%/80%/70%, and so on), uses ,gaining (can’t be damaged)。

During Brutalize: quickly use CC to break the boss, and if you're a healer, use heals on the Fixated player. If using tanks, non-tanks stack tightly in the boss's hitbox; tank stands outside of hitbox/immeiately dodges out after Brutalize.

Break 蔑视条 to save the player.

During has a 4,500 蔑视条 ,and the player can’t do anything. Use CC skills to quickly break ,before the player dies.

Keep players alive by healing them.

Other damage sources, like ,still hurt the player.

After CCing ,it stops having

then the player furthest away from it.

  • (using dedicated tank(s)) Non-tanks stack tightly inside of hitbox, so it's easy for tanks to get
  • (if you're a second dedicated tank) To get ,stand outside of hitbox.
  • (if you're the only dedicated tank) To get ,after ,immediately 翻滚 away from

If Spears of Aggression/Revulsion appear near the squad, DPS or CC them from range.

At 66% and 33%, the boss charges into the alcove outside of the arena. Don't stand in front of the boss! It can knock you into insta-kill spikes!

DPS to 66%, CCing it at 90%/80%/70%. becomes ,and charges to the alcove opposite of the arena entrance.

Mini-Boss Phase 1: Guldhem and Rigom

Before fighting, put raid markers on the minimap. For mini-boss phases, stack at Arrow (near the alcove)。 Rigom's Fixate goes to Circle (in front of the alcove); Guldhem's Fixate stays at Arrow. After Rigom goes to Circle, Push/Pull him to boss, Immobilize him, and then kill Guldhem. Kill Rigom.

Move and keep hitbox. CC or kill any nearby Spears of Aggression/Revulsion. Kill ,and then kill

Clear any nearby Spears of Aggression/Revulsion if they're near the alcove. Stack at (next to the alcove, outside of the spears)。

Once is in the alcove, spawn.

Stack near the boss, so Rigom goes to you; Knockback/Pull Rigom into the boss, and then Immobilize him. Attack Guldhem until Rigom AoEs the boss, removing Guldhem's orange shield; kill Guldhem, and then kill Rigom.

When is near the alcove, / him into hitbox. Use 定身 (usually ) to keep him there.

orange shield transfers all damage and conditions to 。 When reaches 0%, he uses 。 If it hits ,then shield is removed.

shield reappears when he reaches 66% and 33%. Remove his shield again by keeping with ,and then attacking to kill

Main Phase 2 (66% to 33%)

Like Main Phase 1, but starting with

uses as its first attack. It still on the furthest player.

When you get Inevitable Betrayal, move away from stack and the boss's front. If you're the big AoE, when your big AoE is off-stack, stop moving. If you're the small AoE, move toward the big AoE; when it stops moving, stack in the small inner AoE.

: 2 players get AoEs and a raid message in the middle of their screens ("Choose your allies wisely...")。 The big AoE explodes for a massive amount of damage. The small AoE blocks the big AoE’s damage. Both players stack on each other to survive.

When you get ,move away from the squad. When the big AoE player is away from the squad, stop moving. The small AoE player stacks on the big AoE player, overlapping the other player's small AoE.

  • The player with big AoE jumps in place, showing "stack here" for the other player.

If you have ,don’t stack in front of can separate stacked players!

DPS to 33%, CCing it at 60%/50%/40%, and then move out of the way of its charge to the alcove.

Mini-Boss Phase 2: Guldhem and Rigom

The same as Mini-Boss Phase 1, but with

To avoid Spear Return, stay away from the AoEs, which aim toward the boss. If needed, when the AoEs disappear, dodge through the moving spears.

Stay out of the way of has red and yellow arrows that show the path of the Spears of Aggression/Revulsion.

Summary

Pre-Event: Opening the Door

After 灭世魔监工 ,go west, up the stairs, and use the door. If 盗贼 (or e-spec), use the 盗贼 -only option to skip the pre-event. Else, get 4 keys from nearby Rubble, and then use them on the door.

Main Phase 1 (100% to 66%)

Put raid markers () on the mini-map for mini-boss phases. Position away from the squad, avoid its attacks, and clear spears near the squad. Every 10%, CC 蔑视条 。 DPS it to 66%, and then avoid its charge.

Mini-Boss Phase 1: Guldhem and Rigom
