While the closest waypoint is Maelstrom's Waypoint, the flying crate of eggs is high above the volcano, requiring you to fly up the walls with a skyscale. If you have the Rift Repair mastery, you can alternatively use the Reality Rift trail starting west of Maelstrom's Core which leads directly to the crate. Alternatively, travel to Magmatic Waypoint, and travel up the external face of the mountain. Once near the Flying Crate of Ancient Eggs, simply use your skyscale's Fireball ability to break it. The eggs will fall down into the lava below, and a buff timer will start (about 50 sec) indicating how long you have until the eggs burn. Drop down into the lava below and retrieve the eggs from the lava before the timer ends.

Any crab seems to count, like Ornery Crabs or simply Crabs. Easiest way is to go to Mournful Waypoint as there should be at least 5 ambient creature (white nameplate) crabs in the vicinity on the beach. Simply use your skyscale's Fireball. Progress is tracked via tracker on your boon bar.

Access the Karka Hive from the south and go up the spiral stairs past the diving goggles to the top level. There, interact with the Polished Karka Carapace and complete the 7-step Simon Says memory test to receive the item.
