Return to the jungle to earn Masteries. Earn your Basic Glider Mastery to continue your story. Debrief Pact survivors to discover the location of Trahearne and Destiny's Edge. Find and speak with the Pale Reaver scout. Check in with Ensign Wilton at the main Pact camp. (OPTIONAL) Gather supplemental information from the troops: x/3 Speak with the observant Pact soldier.

If you have not already done so, you must gain experience in any Heart of Thorns area and put two mastery points into gliding. This story step is all about gathering information by talking to different NPCs. There is no specific instance. You will encounter the normal open world wilderness of Verdant Brink. The Pale Reaver Scout can be found near the waypoint in Maguuma's Breach and Ensign Wilton is the daytime scout at the Pact Encampment outpost in Stonetwist Paths. If it is night in Verdant Brink, you will have to wait until day to speak with him. There are also other NPCs to talk to at the outpost.
