The locations of yellow, blue, and green mushrooms are always the same. If you have all skills available and come up to a blue mushroom, you can use a skill and have it immediately refreshed from the mushroom. Your accumulated mushroom count is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. To be able to collect all 30 yellow mushrooms, the count should progress as follows: 8 before the first drop to a lower level, 11 before the second drop, 15 before passing the first gate, 21 before passing the second gate, 25 before entering the final chamber. The dark chamber at the end houses the Mushroom Spore Cloud hero challenge, which is guarded by a Veteran Mushroom Queen and a Veteran Mushroom King along with their minions. There are five yellow mushrooms in the room to collect.
