[...] [Sun's Refuge] is a personal character instance in a familiar and historic location that goes all the way back to the original Guild Wars. You'll be able to rebuild the settlement with opportunities to unlock NPCs, collections, and rewards. Though well-hidden and largely forgotten by humans, this ancient cavern has nonetheless seen several uses throughout its existence: as a shrine to the goddess Melandru, as a cistern for the Elon's floodwaters, and 250 years ago, as a sanctuary for the Order of the Sunspears during their campaign to prevent Nightfall. Now, history repeats itself as the Sunspears once again make their home here. We didn't really get to realize that dream largely because of time, and so when we decided to make this little instance out of Sun's Refuge, that was kind of the direction that I gave to the designer who was working on it: think of it as a place that you come to and you get to learn more about the area, you get a lot of lore, you get a lot of NPC interaction, but think of it as also a jumping off point for content. After completing Legacy, the third part of A Star to Guide Us during Living World Season 4, access to Sun's Refuge is unlocked for all characters on that account.
