Speak to Sniper Specialist Hawkspar to be given a rifle and be teleported onto a flying platform. Press F to equip the rifle. The rifle has the following skills: The easiest way to hit the targets is to fire when you are hovering cursor over a target and it has a green outline. Your shot will then home in onto the target. Your rifle has 10 shots before it needs to be reloaded.

The Ballooning Targets achievement can be difficult to earn due to the fact that targets you still need to shoot are not distinguishable from the ones you have already hit. If you've run into difficulties, try focusing on destroying distant targets as well as targets that float beneath the level of your platform. For the Hotshot achievement patience is key. Only shoot at close-by targets that are right ahead in the direction the platform is taking you. The most reliable is to shoot only when you're on the part of the route marked with green.
