Return to Forging Steel
Challenge Mote|thumb|right Similar to the Cold War raid encounter, players must complete a series of events which then culminates in a final boss encounter. Both encounters are longer compared to the other The Icebrood Saga (IBS) ones. If a Squad instance was created, a Challenge Mote will be available at the start of the mission (see Challenge Mode section). This encounter dynamically scales to the number of players within the instance and can thus be completed solo. Clearing enemies ahead of the NPC escort and consistent application of and to them will cut down a significant amount of time. Additional waypoints on the map will be unlocked as the group progresses.

You will be under the effect during this raid encounter. Many of the dialogues are situational and have several variants, thus it is not possible to hear all during one run.[https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/designing-the-steel-warband/ Designing the Steel Warband], Guildwars2.com "Many of the dialog lines also have several variants to make each run through the content a little different; other dialog, such as Cinder’s flamethrower dialog, is dependent on event outcome." Awake from the Vision portal map icon functions like a regular waypoint. Its mouse-over description reads "Vision Exit. Click to awaken". Clicking it will bring up a prompt "Exit the vision and return to the Scrying Pool?" similar to the waypointing confirmation prompt. Straying too far from the boundary of the area will prompt a warning and the effect, covering your screen in darkness. If you keep moving away, you will be teleported back to the closest waypoint. Standing in lava or hot water will apply the effect.
