Meet with the wizards to discuss next steps. Make your way to Droknar's Light. (Optional) Get to know R'tchikk. Speak to the wizards. Help Mabon and Lyhr unlock the Wizard's Tower. Assist Mabon and Lyhr in crafting a key to unlock the tower. (Optional) Gather essences from completing hunts and events across the islands. Gain entry to the Wizard's Tower Meet your allies outside the Wizard's Tower. Wait for Lyhr to open the Wizard's Tower. (Clear the courtyard of Kryptis.) Clear the Courtyard of Kryptis (Fight Lyhr's Facet of Logic.) Facet of Logic Speak to Lyhr's facets. Protect Mabon until he can disable the tower's defenses. Time until Defenses Come Down Wait for your allies to gather in the courtyard.

From Droknar's Light Waypoint, head southeast to the edge of the island and enter the first story instance, Droknar's Light, then walk towards Mabon to trigger the dialogue. After the dialogue, leave the instance. Two achievements are available before advancing to the next story step, indicated by and on the effect bar. To get both achievements during the same playthrough, avoid filling up the optional essence bar (partial progress is ok) until you have participated in one of the early events of Unlocking the Wizard's Tower to unlock Secrets of the Obscure: Act 2 [[#Fractal Push|Fractal Push]]. After that, fill up the optional essence bar before finishing the meta event to unlock Secrets of the Obscure: Act 2 [[#Gatherer of Essence|Gatherer of Essence]]. After completing the meta event or filling the bar, use skyscale and ascend to the Wizard's Tower South Gate and enter the final story instance, Southern Wizard's Tower.
