To start the event, speak with Steward Cecco. Find the nearby Magic-Leaking Pipe and stand in it to receive the buff. This buff lasts for 45 seconds and allows you to lure nearby creatures. Throughout The Animal Apothecary, there will be friendly Transcended Boar, Transcended Spitter, and Transcended Stinger marked with the icon. Standing next to these NPCs will momentarily change their name to "Entranced by Magic" and their icon to . They will also be under the effect of . As they begin to move, escort them to one of three nearby platforms. Once they reach a platform, the Unfuse Animal terminal will become active. Interact with the terminal and complete the matching game using your skill bar. Progress can be granted to multiple players unfusing the same animal, although the terminal will reset as soon as the first player finishes the minigame.

During this event, the Wild Wavehawks typically found at the Apothecary will disappear.
