Introduction

DPS Catalyst is a ranged AoE DPS build that excels at cleaving and controlling large groups of enemies.

Core Synergies & Damage Modifiers:

  • Power Overwhelming grants you additional damage when you are above the 威能 图标威能 threshold.
  • Persistingflames grants you a buff which increases your strike damage up until 5 stacks whenever a fire field hits an enemy.
  • Ragingstorm grants you extra ferocity when you have 激怒 图标激怒.
  • Elementalempowerment grants you a buff which increases all your stats.
  • Empoweringauras grants you a buff which increases your strike damage when you give yourself an aura.

General Ele Spear Concept

You always want to start your element's rotation by dropping your etchings (Spear 5) assuming you're already in a decent position, so that you don't fall too far behind the squad. All etchings require 3 casts while standing in them to complete them, that includes not only weapon skills (including autoattack) but also your utilities & even dropping your jade sphere. Your spear skill 5 will be the biggest share of your damage done so getting used to the tempo of building up each etching is key.


How to Play

We start on Air Attunement to build up our Elemental Empowerment stacks while opening the fight with CCs from Twister and Etching:derecho & shredding 圣盾 图标圣盾 at range early with Fulgor so our other range DPS classes can land their AoEs more consistently at the start of the fights, plus softening up the enemies with nice 12-14k Derecho crits. Fire Attunement - is your time to shine, be patient with your Meteor & Volcano casts if the enemy is mid movement so you don't waste them on evades or miss entirely because the enemy moved too far. Be patient with putting down your Etchings as well, in case the enemy or your own squad moves too far. Earth Attunement - is a nice follow up for our Fire burst since it has a lot of Cripple & Harden + Fissure makes it an aoe 晕眩 图标晕眩 that also hits pretty hard (usually 9k-ish), with Etching:haboob & your ticking Volcanos it's a great combo. You will see it generating downs pretty regularly when timed well. Water Attunement - be careful aiming your Ripple, I usually just do it at my feet or slightly backwards for a little safety, keep in mind that it reduces the cooldown of the next spear skill you use. Undertow is solid pull skill with a 迟缓 图标迟缓 debuff at the center. Icebeam actually cleaves around the target you aim it at, making it a decent Chill applier for catching stragglers. Etching:jökulhlaup does medium damage (usually crits for about 4-5k) & does some minor healing if it passes over allies. Relentlessfire is self explanatory. Get used to throwing down Jade Spheres for boons on the move, especially before popping Relentlessfire.

How To Build Elemental Empowerment Stacks
  • Be in combat = 3 stacks
  • Disable or Immob a Foe = 2 stacks
  • Grant yourself an aura (when you combo/heal skill + fire relic) = 1 stack

Conditionals
  • Sometimes, it's better to boost Volcano with Seethe instead of Meteor. If enemies are playing very stationary, focus on boosting Volcano for consistent damage.
  • If the enemy is very resilient or out-healing your Volcano ticks, prioritize landing big Meteor hits to generate downs.
  • Remember: Volcano deals 10% less damage per tick, so adjust your priorities based on the situation.

Notes

  • Always reload Fire skills with your Elite ability. The Elite will be off cooldown every other full rotation (i.e., used on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, etc., cycles).
  • Each full cycle through all four elements takes less than 60 seconds. The Elite won't be ready for the 2nd rotation (it will be about 9 seconds short), so in a 5-minute fight, you'll typically get three Elite casts.
  • With this rotation, you won't encounter cooldown issues and will maintain constant pressure on the enemy, achieving nearly 100% uptime throughout the fight.
