Overview

A condition focused Conduit build for PvP, invoking Jalis for sustain and CC and Mallyx for pressure. The build fares well anywhere from 1v1s to teamfights.

Variants

  • 位面保护 图标位面保护 and 矮人训练 图标矮人训练 could add a lot more 虚弱 图标虚弱 uptime to the build at the expense of 决心 图标决心 access. This makes you better against power builds, but worse against conditions. Taking these would also improve your condition variety, making it harder for enemies to cleanse your damaging conditions.

Retribution can be replaced by Invocation if you want to push more of a teamfight angle and don't need the extra sustain of Retribution. With Invocation you add more 迅捷 图标迅捷 uptime too so get to drop the rune slot for something better:

Conduit basics

  • 宇宙智慧 图标宇宙智慧 is a passive that has a different type of effect based on your legend:

    • 传奇矮人姿态 图标传奇矮人姿态 (Jalis) - does damage when you're attacked, as long as either your elite or your upkeep skill is active.
    • 传奇恶魔姿态 图标传奇恶魔姿态 (Mallyx) - makes your Mallyx skills cheaper, but sends them on a longer CD. This is the more powerful of the two, as it allows you to use defensive skills during emergency situations even if you don't have the energy, or gives you just a little bit more damage to finish a kill.
  • You gain a Release Potential skill based on your legend. On Mallyx this is a 晕眩 图标晕眩 with good damage, while on Jalis it's a leap finisher with evasion and barrier stacking.

    • These have short CDs and no energy cost, make sure to use your Release Potential at least once per legend cycle!
  • Release Potential becomes more powerful with Affinity stacks. You build Affinity by using skills that cost energy, up to 5 stacks. It happens passively so you don't have to pay much attention to it.

General

  • Invoking a legend resets energy to 50, procs various traits such as 唤醒折磨 图标唤醒折磨, and could even trigger the sigils of your active weapon set (if they are not on CD) among other things. Swapping legends is basically the main resource management tool in the build - swap whenever you're out of CDs or low on energy. That's not all however, on Mallyx builds legend swapping may also be used to do AoE burst damage or manage conditions on yourself.

Damage

  • Mace, Spear and Mallyx all bring solid pressure to the table. Jalis is more of a defensive legend.

  • On Mace, chain 灼热裂痕 图标灼热裂痕回荡喷发 图标回荡喷发 in order to stack 威能 图标威能 while doing damage. Use these two weapon skills on CD.

  • Mallyx has 3 strong abilities for pressuring enemies with their own niches.

  • The first one is 驱逐附魔 图标驱逐附魔. It's good for softening up targets who have defensive boons like 稳固 图标稳固 or 决心 图标决心 while the Chill Chill and ranged nature of this skill can also snare enemies, slowing their escape and allowing you to catch up to them. It's not that dangerous by itself though, there are better skills to spend energy on if raw damage is what you're after.

    • While mainly a single target skill, it can be made to hit multiple targets if they're closely balled up. 苦痛召唤 图标苦痛召唤 and 深渊霹雳 图标深渊霹雳 can arrange that.
  • The second one is 苦痛召唤 图标苦痛召唤. A powerful CC with high damage especially on its chain skill. The damage itself isn't great, but it's useful for setting up burst by CC'ing and balling up targets while also moving you into melee range. Its chain skill, 破势猛击 图标破势猛击 is far more dangerous in terms of raw pressure. It's best to just use Unyielding Impact right after Call to Anguish.

  • The third and most powerful one is the elite 拥抱黑暗 图标拥抱黑暗, which is an upkeep skill. EtD pulses AoE 折磨 图标折磨 every second while active, and applies more Torment if you're using skills that cost energy. The best use for this elite is to be a cost-effective damage boost for weapon skills. Activating it and quickly rotating through your damaging weapon skills significantly increases your damage without much of an energy cost. After your weapon skills are spent, you're free to deactivate it.

    • EtD is also worth using before 苦痛召唤 图标苦痛召唤, which is a leap finisher. You'll combo 黑暗光环 图标黑暗光环, and you'd want to follow up your CC with burst damage anyways.
  • The Spear autoattack automatically flips between melee and ranged versions depending on your distance to the target.

  • Spear is built around 深渊毁灭 图标深渊毁灭.

    • The skill becomes more powerful the more you use it (you can see the stacks above the right side if your skill bar), and swapping weapons at 3 stacks of AR does an AoE attack.
    • It has multiple charges and you should never sit at max charges for too long, so keep using this as much as possible.
    • Every other Spear skill reduces its CD by a certain amount.
    • It'd make sense to use this skill right as you swap to Spear so you can start reducing its CD immediately with other skills, but 深渊霹雳 图标深渊霹雳 (for CC) and 深渊突袭 图标深渊突袭 (for evasion) often end up taking priority.
    • The AoE ring is small and the skill's a bit slow, so it can be hard to land on moving targets. Works great as a followup to CC though, or if you're getting attacked in melee in which case the enemy isn't moving around as much.
    • The weapon swap bonus at 3 stacks is more of just a nice bonus. Don't camp Spear just because you're chasing the 3rd stack, especially if you're out of CDs or getting focused by the enemy team.
  • 深渊霹雳 图标深渊霹雳 is the strongest skill on Spear, delivering heavy AoE damage while also CCing targets and enabling you to land other skills freely. Makes it much easier to land AR too.

  • 深渊原力 图标深渊原力 does decent damage and also recharges AR by a significant amount, use it whenever it's available but make sure that you're missing an AR charge.

  • 深渊突袭 图标深渊突袭 is a skill with evasion and should be kept for defensive purposes.

Sustain

  • Every Mallyx skill has a chance to proc 抗性 图标抗性 on a 5s ICD.

  • Mace/Shield can be considered your defensive set.

  • Shield's 水晶休眠 图标水晶休眠 is basically your third healing skill. It heals for a fair amount while blocking attacks. It also acts as a time-out button while you're waiting for your more important defensive cooldowns to come back up.

  • 茂盛特使 图标茂盛特使 is weaker, but at least you get to keep moving while using it and it does offer some damage mitigation too.

  • 回荡喷发 图标回荡喷发 applies 虚弱 图标虚弱, which provides damage mitigation in its own way.

    • It's also a blast finisher, using it inside a dark field (like the Mallyx elite) applies 目盲 图标目盲.
  • While Spear only has 深渊突袭 图标深渊突袭, an extra evade frame is always nice to have as it can substitute a dodge.

  • Condition cleansing on this build isn't the best, but you're not completely helpless either:

    • 抚伤之石 图标抚伤之石 (Jalis heal) is your best one, and the closest thing you have to a mass cleanse.
    • Both weapon sets have sigils that remove conditions either on weapon swap or upon hitting an enemy.
    • Legend swapping itself can transfer conditions via 瘟疫侵染 图标瘟疫侵染, but keep in mind that this one has a delay, and you must be in melee range when it goes off, which makes it a lot less practical.
    • 复仇之锤 图标复仇之锤 doesn't cleanse conditions, but it does reduce condi damage taken while active. It's fairly cheap to maintain and has no cast time, so it can work as a last resort option. It's also worth using when you're channeling your Jalis heal for cleansing - sometimes it buys you just a bit more HP so you can pull off the heal without going down.
    • 吸收苦痛 图标吸收苦痛 on Mallyx offers mitigation with 决心 图标决心, so it's worth using against condi builds even if you don't have to stunbreak.
  • Both of your stunbreaks have a cast time. While the stunbreak effect happens at the start, to get the other benefits of these skills you must finish the cast. When playing the Invocation variant, 耀眼决心 图标耀眼决心 gives you 稳固 图标稳固 whenever you break a stun, which is meant to help secure the cast.

    • 崇高矮人 图标崇高矮人 should only really be used to break stuns. While its effect is strong, it hardly ever justifies the energy cost or the cast time.
  • 稳固 图标稳固 from 稳固激发 图标稳固激发 can be used to secure your healing skills and the 虚弱 图标虚弱 on the initial hit serves as damage mitigation.

  • 强制束缚 图标强制束缚 can also serve as a defensive tool, as enemies with 嘲讽 图标嘲讽 are far less dangerous and can't use CCs.

Pre-game buffing

  • Stack 迅捷 图标迅捷 for your team before the game starts!

  • Drop 稳固激发 图标稳固激发 on Jalis and follow up with Mace's 回荡喷发 图标回荡喷发.

  • 深渊毁灭 图标深渊毁灭 can also be used before or after Echoing Eruption but it has a much longer recharge time, and on some maps you might not have it ready before the first fight if you do use it (for example when you're taking the side exit on Forest of Niflhel and run into the enemy team while crossing).

  • You can also contribute to 潜行 图标潜行 stacking with the same weapon skills (if someone drops a smoke field).
