Overview
A strong condition based build for ranger in open world build with decent burst and great damage over time. This build can do well in almost all areas of open world and can even solo group events or strong bosses.

- Bristleback Bristleback - best condi pet for ranged DPS
- Murellow Murellow - great defensive option
- Jacaranda Jacaranda - the strongest defensive pet when unmerged, provides significant healing when merged

- Axe: can be a good alternative to mainhand dagger in open world, where the range of axe might make it more desirable.

This set uses gear similar to Build:Soulbeast_-_Condi_DPS, making it excellent for general PVE.
If you are gearing this character from zero, start with exotic quality gear. Search the trading post for "Viper's Abomination" weapons. Viper exotic armor is very expensive, so we recommend a budget alternative called Carrion (search the trading post for "Shiro" armor) until you can get Viper gear such as by farming Bladed armor or by acquiring ascended armor. Damage
General Tips
- This build's damage relies heavily on
流血 application. - With shortbow, flanking enemies is important, as shortbow skills deal significantly more damage when hitting from the back or the side. Dodge through enemies before unloading burst to proc
