Overview

A Soulbeast power build for PvP with exceptional burst damage, made to quickly take out targets. Primarily serves as a roamer/+1er.

Slot Changes

Viable picks for the optional slot:

• "快保护我！" - defensive skill and another stunbreak.

• 狩猎纹章 - makes your burst unblockable.

• 和风疾行 - mix of defense and offense, it's mostly used in burst combos for the 急速 but it can also serve as a stunbreak.

• 狮鹫姿态 - adds more evasion to the build, great at avoiding burst damage if you can time it right.

Pets

Boar Boar can be repalced by:

• Polar Bear Polar Bear - strong defensive pet that still retains the most important CC on Boar while offering a skill that negates incoming strike damage.

• Rock Gazelle Rock Gazelle - another CC focused pet. It's also a Ferocious pet just like Smokescale while Boar is Versatile, which means you'll gain better offensive stats in Beastmode than on Boar.

Usage

Elite specialization basics

• Soulbeast allows Rangers to meld/merge with their pet, becoming one. This is done through 野兽形态 which has a 10s CD.

• Pet related traits and skills such as 宠物威勇 continue to function even while merged, but this time you'll be the one who benefits from them, not the pet (although sometimes the effects are lessened).

  • IMPORTANT: skills that affect your pet like "干掉他们！" have to be used after merging if you wish to benefit from them, already active skill effects will be lost just like when swapping pets.

• You can also meld with dead pets and then exit Beastmode to instantly revive them.

General

• 永恒联结 allows you to be more flexible with your Beastmode usage by letting you swap pets while merged. With this you can adapt to situations much better and stay in Beastmode longer.

• When playing with Boar Boar, its Beatmode ability 重击 is one of your key skills. Hits hard, has a short cast time and a very subtle animation most people won't even notice.

  • Try to set this up with CC, which should be easy considering how both other Boar Beastmode skills are CC skill. The F3 is especially good for this as 准备拉拽 grants you 急速 and 激怒 via trait synergy.

• Polar Bear and Krytan Drakehound also provide access to 准备拉拽.

• Smokescale Smokescale's F2 障目烟云 is a useful combo field:

  • Projectile finishers like 近身平射 and 高速连射 could 目盲 your target, increasing your sustain.
  • 3 of the Sword/Warhorn skills as well as 大地冲击 could be used to stack 潜行.

• Use 猎手暗箭 in Beastmode while roaming between capture points if you lack 迅捷.

• Sometimes you might want to get greedy with 熊灵姿态. While this is your last resort option against condition bursts, it's also great at keeping things like 虚弱, Chill Chill and 目盲 off of you. If you're chasing a low HP target and you want to secure a kill, Bear Stance could ensure that you get to deal damage without any hinderance. You could even combine it with 石牦牛姿态 to make yourself immune to hard CC too.

  • Of course this is a bit of a gamble, if the target survives your burst you'll be left without your strongest defensive CDs so the plan might backfire.

• "干掉他们！" should always be used in 野兽形态. It's a really strong burst CD that also denies stealth access for enemies.

• 独狼之力 works well with both sets, your prime targets are 高速连射 and 猎手召唤, adding extra damage to every hit you score on a target. Smokescale's 烟雾突击 also has great synergy with this.

• Smokescale's 烟雾突击 could be used both offensively (delivering damage while making it impossible to kite you) and defensively (it's an instant cast evade frame).

Doing damage

Longbow burst combo example:

1. 野兽形态 for some extra stats. You should preferably be on Smokescale for extra damage when you unload your burst. If you were on Boar however you get to pet swap first in Beastmode with your F4 (Eternal Bond).
2. 独狼之力 + "干掉他们！" which boosts the Soulbeast's own damage if used in Beastmode.
3. Get 急速 either from 和风疾速 or 和风疾行.
4. 近身平射 to increase the chance of landing your burst and to proc 狂暴双体.
5. 高速连射 for damage.

1. 野兽形态 on Smokescale
2. 荒野召唤
3. 猎手召唤 + "干掉他们！" at the same time

10. This combo delivers rapid attacks that proc OWP every interval while also evading incoming attacks and sticking to the target so you can do followups immediately after.
