Overview
Condi Tempest is a condition damage based tempest build for open world that focuses on inflicting AoE
燃烧 and
流血. It is naturally tanky, with good access to
保护 and some
稳固. It has great uptime of
威能 for self and allies, and good supportive options. It is very easy to learn and play.

Healing skill
We default to
元素和谐雕文 as it provides strong burst healing and a boon based on attunement. Other alternatives are:
秘法绚爆 - weak heal by default, but is greatly increased if it strikes nearby enemies. Performs a blast finisher, and heals for more when doing so. Excellent synergy with water combo fields. (See: Guide:What are Combo Fields).
"抚慰伤痛!" - weak healing, but heals in an AoE and cleanses 1 condition per pulse.
幻光恢复 - very high healing and condition removal throughout its long channelling time. Great option for raw healing if you can afford the cast time, and it also regenerates enough endurance for one dodge.
Utility skills
We default to:
火焰纹章: great damage with its active skill, and the passive will remain active thanks to
石刻纹章.
大地纹章: great damage with its active skill, and the passive will remain active thanks to
石刻纹章.
元素能量雕文 - very flexible skill that can do damage, or cleanse conditions, or daze enemies, or give barrier, depending on your current attunement, and breaks stun.
Other alternatives include:
小型元素雕文 - good damage and pets that can tank a few hits. Note that the elementals die when you mount up.
"天崩地裂!" - area
磁力光环 for projectile reflection,
保护, and impairs enemies, plus a blast finisher.
风暴雕文 - AoE burst damage from
火焰风暴 or pulsing
目盲 with
沙尘风暴.
秘法护盾 - breaks stun and blocks 3 attacks.
净化烈焰 - condition cleanse and stun break.
电光火石 - for mobility.
Elite skill
元素雕文 is simply the best elite for solo play. Cast it on Fire for damage, on Water for support, healing and
击退, on Air for a
昏迷, or on Earth for defense and tanking. On extremely rare ocasions you can consider:
"五行归元!" - very situational skill that can be considered against certain bosses with oneshot attacks.

暴风咏叹 - higher damage, but the loss of stability might cause you to get interrupted during overloads.
Equipment
If you are gearing this character from zero, start with exotic quality gear. Search the trading post for "Viper's Abomination" weapons. Viper exotic armor is very expensive, so we recommend a budget alternative called Carrion (search the trading post for "Ogden" armor) until you can get Viper gear such as by farming Bladed armor or by acquiring ascended armor. Usage
Damage
The build is somewhat simple and revolves around
火焰协调 with
火焰过载 and
大地协调 with
大地过载. Use
火焰纹章,
大地纹章 and
元素能量雕文 in Fire for damage off cooldown. Thanks to
石刻纹章, you will not lose the passive effects of signets after using them.
You will spend the bast majority of your time in
火焰协调 and
大地协调. Use
火焰过载 and
大地过载 off cooldown, and swap to the other attunement when it recharges.
Scepter+Warhorn
- In Fire, use
荒火哀嚎,
浴火凤凰,
巨龙之牙. Phoenix and Dragon's Tooth are blast finishers (more about finishers below). Use
热力同步 to share all the
威能 you generate with nearby allies. - In Air, use
闪电宝珠 for damage, and
气流漩涡 can be used for CC. - In Earth, use
沙尘风暴 and
岩石屏障 ⇒
投掷岩石. Use
砂石狂啸 when you have boons to extend their duration.
Pistol+Warhorn
Rotate through your attunements to power up the pistol's bullet mechanic.
- In Fire, use
荒火哀嚎,
灼烧齐射 and
狂怒弹射. Preferably, use Raging Ricochet empowered by a fire bullet. Use
热力同步 to share all the
威能 you generate with nearby allies. - In water, use
冰冻齐射,
严寒阵雪. Preferably, use
冰冻齐射 empowered by an ice bullet. - In Air, use
闪电宝珠 +
空中敏捷 +
晕眩施放. The air bullet can be consumed by Aerial Agility to remove conditions. - In Earth, use

巨石爆破. Preferably, use Shattering Stone empowered by an earth bullet. Use
砂石狂啸 when you have boons to extend their duration.
Remember elemental bullets last indefinitely, so if you want to be optimal, you should start fights with a fire, water, and earth bullet prepared.
Finishers
Elementalists in general have many combo fields and finishers. These skills provide additional effects when interacting with each other. Here are some good combos you should keep in mind, you have to be near the skill to receive these effects.
- Fire fields like
荒火哀嚎: use a blast finisher like
冰封爆裂 to generate AoE 3 stacks of
威能 for 20 seconds. - Water fields like
流水宝珠: use a blast finisher like
砂石狂啸 to create AoE 1320 healing.
You can also use combo fields to generate auras.

Elementals
Elementals are really good allies in any open world elementalist build. Their only downside is that they die when you mount up.
Glyph of Lesser Elementals
小型元素雕文 summons one elemental for 2 minutes. If you cast it off cooldown, you can have 3 elementals alive almost always.
- The Lesser Fire Elemental deals good melee range AoE strike damage and
燃烧, and provides
威能. It has the highest AoE damage of all Lesser Elementals. - The Lesser Ice Elemental deals very low damage and inflicts a lot of Chill Chill (80-90% uptime) through an ice combo field.
- The Lesser Air Elemental deals great single target damage and generates
迅捷. It has the highest single target dps of all Lesser Elementals. - The Lesser Earth Elemental deals low damage, inflicts
虚弱, and is very tanky.
Glyph of Elementals
元素雕文 summons one elemental for 2 minutes with the same attacks and behaviour as Lesser Elementals, but can be commanded to do an additional skill.
- The Fire Elemental can be commanded to deal damage and
燃烧 in an AoE. - The Ice Elemental can be commanded to deal damage in an AoE, while healing nearby allies by 6401, knocking back enemies, and removing 1 condition.
- The Air Elemental can be commanded to
昏迷 for 1.5 seconds. - The Earth Elemental can be commanded to inflict nearby enemies with 1 second of Immobilize Immobilize and 5 seconds of Cripple Cripple, while providing 3 seconds of
保护 to nearby allies.
Defense
- The best defense is always to dodge or sidestep attacks. Both
炽焰疾步 and
大地突刺 evade attacks while casting. - You cannot dodge while doing an Overload or you will cancel it, but you can use the
迅捷 from
和谐传导 to get out of the way of telegraphed attacks.
尖刺石环 blocks projectiles, while
磁力光环 from
砂石狂啸 or
动荡传导+
大地过载 reflects them.- Constantly spam skills to heal thanks to
再生纹章. - You get
保护 when you overload thanks to
坚固传导, and from
砂石狂啸 (which also extends existing boons).
沙尘风暴 is a useful blind and very strong against groups of trash mobs.
元素雕文 is great for defense, as the elemental will often draw aggro away from you. The earth elemental is quite tanky.- Your overloads break stun.
- If using Scepter,
浴火凤凰 cleanses 1 condition.
Sustain
You have some sustain in
流水协调
流水过载 heals, cleanses conditions, and applies
再生.
潮汐激荡 heals a little bit and applies
再生.
流水宝珠 heals. Remember you can blast that water field for more healing.
元素雕文, used in
流水协调, creates an elemental with strong healing and condition cleanse on a short cooldown.
