Overview

A Power Weaver build for PvP which uses the trait 导雷神针 图标导雷神针 to add extra damage to its many CC skills while also mitigating incoming strike damage through the 虚弱 图标虚弱 LR applies. Here the best defense is a good offense. The low sustain coupled with the reliance on melee range makes this one of the hardest Elementalist builds to play in PvP.

Viable choices for the optional slot include:

  • 大地护甲 图标大地护甲 - great defensive skill in general, works against any form of pressure.

  • 扭转命运 图标扭转命运 - stunbreak + an evade frame right after. Could also replace 空气纹章 图标空气纹章, it's a matter of preference.

  • 地磁护盾 图标地磁护盾 - several strong defensive skills and even some CC all rolled into one conjure, but no stunbreak.

  • 岩石共振 图标岩石共振 - 稳固 图标稳固 and general sustain.

  • 原始姿态 图标原始姿态 - offensive option that's especially good at stacking 易伤 图标易伤 for better bursts. Sacrificing a utility slot for damage however makes this already difficult build even more unforgiving to play.

  • 揭秘 图标揭秘 - a skill that temporarily bypasses the defining mechanic of Weaver (dual attunements), which allows you to reach your #4-5 skills faster on a given attunement. This can be crucial for sustain (especially on Earth), allowing you to react to situations faster. Easier access to your base slot #3 skills that'd otherwise be replaced by dual attacks could also be useful for defensive purposes, as 2 of them evade attacks and one of them can even stun enemies. However this is seen as more of a "training crutch" skill, something that a more experienced user of the build wouldn't need, and it does take up a valuable slot on the bar. You can play Unravel if you want, it can certainly simplify some aspects of the build, but eventually you should be able to play without it.

Elite

  • 飓风形态 图标飓风形态 - several CC skills (that also work on downed enemies) + some mobility. Also gives you decap potential.

Variants

  • 超级元素 图标超级元素 - fits the build perfectly, improving 虚弱 图标虚弱 uptime and crit chance. The problem is that it'd cost you quite a bit of health on an already low HP build, which might force you to take Marauder amulet which has less damage.

  • 加固元素 图标加固元素 - more forgiving option that trades damage for better sustain. Scales in value with the number of stances you're running.

  • 穿梭滑步 图标穿梭滑步 - this trait can be a huge help if you're struggling with condition management, but taking it costs you other forms of sustain.

  • 愤怒元素 图标愤怒元素 - most greedy option with better burst damage. Has some synergy with 揭秘 图标揭秘, which can activate the damage bonus anytime. You need to alter your playstyle a bit, as this build normally wouldn't be dual attuning much.

Relic

  • 莫辛古物 图标莫辛古物 - increases the chance of removing damaging conditions with other sources of cleansing while also providing a way to get rid of 虚弱 图标虚弱 and Chill Chill applied to you. Weakness could shut down your damage completely while Chill is a huge threat to Eles in general, as it impacts attunement swap recharge times.

  • 雾气古物 图标雾气古物 - sustain increase against Power builds.

Usage

Elite specialization basics

  • Weaver Weaver allows the Elementalist to attune to 2 elements at the same time, and skills 1-5 are decided based on both. Let's call them primary and secondary attunements.

  • If you swap to 火焰协调 图标火焰协调 then Fire becomes your primary attunement and weapon skills 1-2 will be fire skills. Afterwards if you switch to 流水协调 图标流水协调 for example then Water is now your primary attunement and Fire's moved to secondary - now skills 1-2 are Water and 4-5 are Fire. Skill 3 is a dual skill created by a combination of your active attunements - Fire + Water for example is 蒸汽涌动 图标蒸汽涌动.

  • The order of the attunements doesn't matter here, Water primary with Fire secondary has the same dual attack as Fire primary and Water secondary. Attuning to the same element twice gives you access to the "core" skill of the weapon, the skill you'd have if you weren't a Weaver.

General

  • 再生纹章 图标再生纹章 should seldom be touched, as the passive is extremely valuable. Note that several trait procs also count as skill activations and will benefit from the passive of this signet.

    • Unless you either have a high amount of 困惑 图标困惑 on you, or you're already at maximum health, you should always be casting something (autoattacks will do too). This is to get the most out of this signet's passive.
  • Cycle fire ⇒ air ⇒ fire ⇒ air to maintain 迅捷 图标迅捷 while roaming between capture points.

  • If taken 扭转命运 图标扭转命运 can be cancelled by stowing your weapon in rare cases when the full evasion isn't needed (let's say you have to cleave a downed target and must keep the pressure up, but had to break stun).

Damage

  • 导雷神针 图标导雷神针 is the bread and butter of this build, causing every CC effect in the build to add to your damage. The general playstyle revolves around weaving together hard hitting skills such as 等离子爆破 图标等离子爆破 with CC for burst damage.

  • Your most dangerous skills tend to be dual skills, especially those related to 空气协调 图标空气协调:

    • 等离子爆破 图标等离子爆破 on Air + Fire (this is the most damage you can do with 1 skill).
    • 漫天飞石 图标漫天飞石 on Air + Earth (damage over time, adds to other burst attempts).
    • 下沉寒风 图标下沉寒风 Air + Water (raw damage AND LR synergy, one of your best skills).
    • 泥潭滑行 图标泥潭滑行 on Earth + Water (Lightning Rod synergy).
    • 灰烬爆破 图标灰烬爆破 on Fire + Earth (raw damage).
  • 能量汇聚 图标能量汇聚 has a delay, you could combo this with other high damage skills like 等离子爆破 图标等离子爆破 or 下沉寒风 图标下沉寒风 for a quick burst.

  • 空气协调 图标空气协调 is the most important one in the build and should be attuned to often, both for damage and sustain. 能量汇聚 图标能量汇聚 alone could provide a ~50% AoE Weakness uptime and it does really good damage, while 闪电鞭击 图标闪电鞭击 is the go-to cleave skill in the build when you're out of CDs. Air/Earth is especially good at cleaving downed targets because not only can you add 能量汇聚 图标能量汇聚 and 漫天飞石 图标漫天飞石 to your autoattack spam but also instantly proc 烟花古物 图标烟花古物 with 磁力脉动 图标磁力脉动, boosting the damage of the whole sequence.

    • When cleaving a downed target, going from Air/Earth to Air/Air should be considered too. You get to maintain the pressure with Lightning Whip while gaining access to 电击光环 图标电击光环 and its transmute skill 逆向转化闪电 图标逆向转化闪电 for an AoE 昏迷 图标昏迷 that could halt the rez attempt of the enemy team.
  • If taken 飓风形态 图标飓风形态 is good at finishing off low HP targets, making sure they don't get to heal up while also damaging them with 导雷神针 图标导雷神针 procs. This works on downed targets too so you could use it to disrupt rez attempts. Even if enemy players have 稳固 图标稳固 or a Guardian is casting 仁慈纹章 图标仁慈纹章 Tornado could launch the downed enemy into the distance to deny it.

    • Tornado's also quite good at quickly neutralizing enemy capture points.

Sustain

  • 导雷神针 图标导雷神针 plays a major part here as well, constantly mitigating damage trough Weakness spam.

  • Sustain's low in general, especially when it comes to handling conditions. Cleansing is limited to your sigil, dodging on 流水协调 图标流水协调, and 磁力脉动 图标磁力脉动. Perhaps your best tool against conditions is 黑曜石肤 图标黑曜石肤, which makes you immune to incoming conditions and causes you not to take damage from the ones already on you for its duration.

    • Earth #4-5 in general are some of your strongest defensive tools. Due to their placement on the skill bar however, as a Weaver you may not gain access to these skills immediately when swapping to 大地协调 图标大地协调. This can be solved by using 揭秘 图标揭秘 in case of emergency. Unravel's also great for grabbing 电击光环 图标电击光环 on 空气协调 图标空气协调.
  • Swapping to Earth is an instant source of 保护 图标保护, you can do this even while stunned.

    • If you're on Air then double attuning to Air isn't a bad idea either. You gain access to 电击光环 图标电击光环 which is an instant CC. Not only is that capable of stopping burst attempts, it also applies 虚弱 图标虚弱 via LR synergy.
  • 风灵附体 图标风灵附体 lets you kite melee opponents should you need some breathing room.

  • 蒸汽涌动 图标蒸汽涌动 (Fire/Water) creates a Water field with a very short duration, but it's just enough to blast for a bit of extra healing if you swap to Air right after with either 等离子爆破 图标等离子爆破 or 下沉寒风 图标下沉寒风.

  • Some of the dual skills have baked in defenses, like damage reduction on 漫天飞石 图标漫天飞石, Blind on 灰烬爆破 图标灰烬爆破 or evasion on 蒸汽涌动 图标蒸汽涌动.

  • If you're on Water primary and Earth secondary you could use 泥潭滑行 图标泥潭滑行, swap to Fire, and follow up with 蒸汽涌动 图标蒸汽涌动 to build distance while evading attacks.

  • Earth and Air have some great skills for fighting ranged projectile users: 回旋风流 图标回旋风流 on Air secondary, 尖刺石环 图标尖刺石环 on Earth primary, and 磁力脉动 图标磁力脉动 on Earth secondary.

  • 电光火石 图标电光火石 is an excellent panic button. With this (and good reaction times) you can teleport out of harm's way all the way to the highground or leave fights altogether.

  • 飓风形态 图标飓风形态 could be used to disengage from fights. Skill #5 is a great mobility skill that also does AoE CC, and using the elite procs 秘法护盾 图标秘法护盾 which can block a couple of attacks.
