Skills
怨恨纹章 can be replaced when needed:
鬼灵缚爪 to group up enemies or as Defiance Break
鬼灵影步 for Swiftness, Condition Removal and Stun Break. Utilize
鬼灵逆行 to avoid Damage or falling to your Demise
鬼灵铠甲 for Protection and Stun Break
召唤血肉地虫 for mobility
召唤影魔 for Life Force generation
腐蚀毒云 for Projectile Destruction.
Don't
召唤血肉魔像 unless you're about to fight a tougher enemy or need its powerful Defiance Break. While it does some Damage, it can often keep you in combat needlessly long which can be undesirable or annoying.
恐惧 is one of the best sources of personal Fury and Quickness. Take
死亡迫近 only when those boons are covered by allies.
现世妄执 when you need more survivability at a Damage loss.
Axe and Focus can be used over Staff:
- Axe can be used for Life Force, Boon Removal and Vulnerability.
- Focus can be used for Boon Removal, Life Steal and Life Force.

Key Concepts
Enter
死亡之幕 often to trigger
灵魂倒钩 and gain Might and Swiftness. This provides you with a meaty Damage buff with high to permanent uptime.
Cast your hardest hitting damage-over-time skills right before entering
死亡之幕 to further power them up with
致命洞察. These are:
恐惧 grants you Quickness and Fury whenever you inflict Fear. This is a large boost to your Damage so make sure you trigger it!
Dealing Damage
When you are inside
死亡之幕, use the following skills:
解除死亡之幕 soon after, as
死亡之幕 acts primarily as a defensive tool.
Using
生命爆弹 will grant you some Might due to
夺魂威能.

黑暗追击 can be used to Damage and catch up to enemies, while slowing them down with Chill. Note: The flipover skill
黑暗追击 is currently bugged and available only at Level 80.
Some useful things to know about Dagger & Warhorn:
- Use
黑暗契约 to Immobilize and remove boons from a target and apply Bleeding to both yourself and the enemy
生命虹吸 deals a lot of Damage, more if the enemy is Bleeding, and heals you, more if you are Bleeding. Notice the synergy with
黑暗契约.
迅捷蝗群 grants you Swiftness and steals health from nearby enemies, while
末日哀嚎 is used for Defiance Break
Staff is a sort of one-time-use weapon, featuring high AoE burst, with lower sustained Damage:
鲜血印记 inflicts Bleeding and grants you Regeneration
凛冬印记 inflicts Chilled and Poison
腐烂印记 transfers three conditions from yourself to each enemy hit
夺魂印记 deals the most Damage and Fears
Defense
Use Fear to easily scatter enemies if you get overwhelmed, while gaining Quickness and Fury through
恐惧 to help solve the issue.
The following skills Fear and should be utilized regularly:
死亡之幕 acts as a powerful defensive tool as while in shroud, your Life Force acts as a Second Healthbar, temporarily replacing your Health.
While in
死亡之幕, you cannot be Healed through ordinary means, and any Damage you would take depletes your Life Force instead.
暗影疾速 removes all impairing conditions when you enter
死亡之幕, and
幕化移除 cleanses a condition every couple of seconds.
症状吞噬 heals you for every condition removed.
Death's Carapace
Death's Carapace from the Death Magic trait line grants us with a handful of stat buffs:
- Toughness baseline, as well as Power and Condition Damage due to
致命力量 - If we surpass 10 stacks, we take 10% less Condition Damage due to
帷幕尽头 - At or above 25 stacks we gain pulsing Protection due to
堕落狂热
So, how can we get these juicy stacks of Death's Carapace? Well, we've got a few sources:
铁甲帷幕 when you enter
死亡之幕
幕化移除 when you lose a condition
灵魂参悟 when you kill an enemy
堕落狂热 when you inflict a condition. This will be your main source.
Death's Carapace is good. Keep an eye on it and try to maintain high stacks. The higher, the better.
