阴暗法池 helps maintain Quickness thanks to
时空术士古物, but it can be replaced for
镰爪毒液 when an infrequent, large Heal is needed.
战斗冲动 can be replaced when needed:
沉默法池 provides additional Condition Removal and Defiance Break.
毒蝎钩索 for the single target Pull.
暗影疾步 for a Stun Break, 1,200 Range teleport and Condition Cleanse.
障眼烟幕 will Blind enemies, Blocks Projectiles, and acts as a Smoke Field for Stealth.
暗影庇护 provides group Stealth, useful to help Revive allies or interact with objects without enemy interference.
蜘蛛毒液 when near allies to inflict lots of Poison stacks very quickly.
You can replace
影幕 with:

石蜥毒液 for more Defiance Break when near other players. -
同仇敌忾 when you need a distraction against a threatening enemy. It can also be cast before an extended engagement to increase your damage output. -
You can swap to
暗影脚步 in the Specter Traitline when playing with other allies. This will make your Shadow Shroud skills share Healing, Protection, and Alacrity!
Two Daggers, one in each hand, can be taken instead of Spear if you do not have access to Janthir Wilds (JW).

莫辛古物 removes non-damaging conditions when you Evade an attack.

骑兵古物 grants you Aegis, Quickness, Swiftness, Resistance and Might when you hit an enemy with your mount engage skill. (Hint: the Skyscale engage skill will leave a pulsing field that will give boons on every strike!).

Key Concepts
Specter focuses on spending Initiative on weapon skills, then entering Shadow Shroud and using its Shroud skills while Initiative recharges again.
While in Shadow Shroud, damage taken will be reduced by 33%, and it will deplete Shadow Force instead of your Health. Shadow Force will also slowly deplete each second you are in Shroud.
Entering Shadow Shroud will also automatically tether an ally at up to 1200 Range, which allows you to share some of your beneficial Shroud effects with them at a longer range. If necessary, you can change what ally you are tethered to if you cast
虹吸 on them.
You can gain Shadow Force by:
- Casting
虹吸 on an enemy. - Spending Initiative in combat.
- An additional source depending on your Master trait (in this case,
薄暮穿越 will grant you Shadow Force whenever you use a skill that Shadowsteps)
虹吸 is Specter’s special
顺手牵羊 skill, and applies several effects when cast on an enemy:
- It will restore some Shadow Force, the resource spent while in Shadow Shroud.
致命伏击 and
蛇毒之触 will apply heavy Bleeding and Poison.
致命快感 and
慷慨无私 will grant you and 4 other nearby allies Fury, Might, Swiftness and Vigor.
利己主义 will restore 2 Initiative.
Dealing Damage
Your Well skills are all Shadowsteps with 600 Range that leave an AoE on their destination. They will also grant you personal Quickness thanks to
时空术士古物, making them ideal tools to engage enemies.
影幕 will pull enemies towards its center, making it a good opening skill for packs of mobs.
悲伤法池 will pulse damaging conditions.
恩惠法池 will pulse lots of useful boons to you and nearby allies.
Spear skills
螳螂钉刺 and
出奇打击 are each a sequence of three skills: Lead Attack → Follow Up → Finisher. Using a skill from either sequence will progress both sequences.
When dealing with small packs of mobs, you can use the following combo:
The combo above will do most of the work with large burst and cleave, and is overall a very strong, basic Damage combo.
If you need a gap closer, you can use the following combo:
For more single-target burst and for Life Siphon, you can use the following combo:
Some skills have an additional effect if they follow a Finisher, which is the last skill in a combo chain:
杂念投掷 grants a Damage modifier.
苍白突袭 grants four Initiative on the final, delayed strike. You can gain the Stealth for this skill by using
碎裂突袭 as your Finisher skill.
暗影帷幕 will Block additional attacks.
While in Shadow Shroud, your main damage sources will be
暗影抓攫 and
永恒夜幕.
暗影抓攫 is a small explosion that cleaves 5 targets and can be cast at up to 900 Range to apply Torment.
永恒夜幕 cleaves 5 targets, deals damage and applies Poison to enemies.
Your Auto Attack will launch a projectile that explodes in a small area and apply Torment.
Burst Rotation
Defense
吸血劈砍 will Life Siphon and Heal you for a sizeable amount of Health. It will also Weaken the target, reducing it's Damage pressure.
暗影帷幕 will Block one to three attacks, depending on whether it's cast after a Finisher or not, and Heal you for each attack Blocked.
When Shrouded, you take reduced strike damage, and damage will be redirected to your remaining Shadow Force instead. You also have a few defensive tools while in Shroud:
黎明之息 is a ground-targeted leap that will Fear enemies on impact and grant you and nearby allies Barrier that scales with the amount of enemies struck.
思维冲击 instantly grants you and nearby allies Stability, and after a short delay will create an explosion around you that Stuns.- While you can’t be healed while in Shroud,
鬼影射击 and
永恒夜幕 will grant nearby allies some decent Healing.
Since all your Wells are Shadowsteps, they can be used to easily reposition and escape from enemies. You can keep
阴暗法池 available for this purpose, which will also pulse Healing.
Well skills will also grant Resistance thanks to
薄暮穿越, allowing you to ignore non-damaging conditions with impunity.
