To generate blades, you must wisely Dodge and Block enemy attacks due to

It is crucial to hit an enemy with 
间隙危机 to get the Clarity buff, so you can buff your other spear skills with it.
Game start
At the start of the game, cast

幻影长矛 to gain Swiftness.
Dealing Damage
和谐咏刃 is your main burst damage, and you want to aim to cast it with 5 Blades up. Other Bladesong deal good damage, but they are not a priority to cast at 5 Blades.
Try to utilize the outer edge of 间隙危机 for a guaranteed critical strike. Gaining Clarity from this skill and using it for the Empowered Stun on 
精神崩塌 to setup hitting your 和谐咏刃 freely on the enemy.
Utilizing Dodge to make your Bladesongs Unblockable due to 灵能回应 is crucial to kill enemies who rely on Blocks and reflects for survivability.
On Dagger your main damage comes from auto-attacking 
飞行利刃, you can spam 
利刃呼唤 for blade generation and 
狂刃风暴 for some damage.
A basic high damage combo would look like this:

Defense
You're very slow due to not having many movement skills, also extremely squishy due to going full damage in traitlines, so positioning is key.
失真咏刃 and 
灵刃新生 are your most important defensive keys due to granting you Distortion making you immune to all damage.
闪光传送 can be used offensively, but is best kept for running away, this is your only mobility skill. Also Stun Breaks you.
午夜纹章 is a Stun Break, but also Blinds your foe and Stealths you for 2 seconds.
虚拟反转 is an amazing skill, healing you, Removing 2 conditions, Evade for 1 second and dealing some damage to the enemy.
群体隐形 huge disengage tool, Stealths you and nearby teammates for 6 seconds. Can be used offensively to burst from Stealth.
回忆幻像 into the flip skill if you get hit 
流忆残影 giving you Protection and spawning 2 phantasms, which deal damage and applies Slow.
Casting Bladesongs grant you an Aegis due to
