Step One: Overloads and Attunements
Tempests have access to the overload mechanic - your current attunement can be activated after a short period of time for additional effects. Overloading an attunement increases the Recharge time of that attunement.
For Condition Tempest, we care about
火焰过载 and
大地过载 and thus will be alternating between
火焰协调 and
大地协调. The basic attunement order is as follows:
The timing for swapping attunements is determined by
浴火凤凰 in
火焰协调 and
岩石屏障 →
投掷岩石 in
大地协调. Both of these weapon skills will be the first and last weapon skills you cast in each attunement, and they should be used when available.
浴火凤凰 should be used 3 times per loop, and
岩石屏障 →
投掷岩石 should be used 2 times per loop.
投掷岩石 does not have a cast time, so you can cast it while casting other skills.

Fill the gaps with Auto Attacks.
Remember that changing Attunements will not cancel any skill you're currently casting. If available, use this to your advantage by swapping to your new attunement during the cast time of the final skill in your current attunement.
Step Two: Weapon Skills
Next, add in the rest of the weapon skills. Remember to prioritize the skills listed in Step 1 as they determine the timings for attunement swapping.
火焰协调
- Use
巨龙之牙 off Cooldown. This will equate to 3
巨龙之牙 per loop. - Use
荒火哀嚎 off Cooldown. You will only be able to use this once per loop, but make sure you use it before
火焰过载.
荒火哀嚎 drops multiple Fire Fields, so when you use
火焰过载, you can wiggle your character between the fields for additional Burning Bolts.
大地协调
- Use
魔尘沙暴 after your first
岩石屏障 →
投掷岩石. - Save
沙尘风暴 for after
大地过载 for better damage modifiers with
超验风暴.
Putting the above concepts together, the updated loop should look like this:

Once you're comfortable with the loop, you can add in the opener:
大地协调
Queue your skills if available! Grouping Auto Attacks together and skills together will contribute to a cleaner rotation. All skills in the loop can be queued.
Step Three: Utility Skills
For the last step, add the utility and elite skills to the rotation. You don't have to add these to the rotation all at once; make sure you're comfy with what you're doing first before adding more skills into the rotation.
Use
火焰纹章 off Cooldown.
火焰纹章 can be used as the last skill in
大地协调 for a smoother transition to
火焰协调. When doing so, remember to swap attunements during its cast time and queue your next skill immediately.
Use
大地纹章 off Cooldown, but delay it by 3 seconds if it's available when
大地过载 finishes. This is because
岩石力量 has a 3 second Cooldown before it can proc again. In this case, using
大地纹章 right before
火焰过载 will give you enough time to be able to proc
岩石力量 again.
On the golem, use
元素能量雕文 off Cooldown in
火焰协调. In real fights, you will be replacing this skill with
小型元素雕文; pre-summon them in
火焰协调, then use
小型元素雕文 off Cooldown in
火焰协调.
Likewise, (pre)summon
元素雕文 in
火焰协调 and use its flip skill
烈焰轰炸 off Cooldown.
Transitioning to the Full Build
This is essentially the full Condition Tempest rotation. Further small improvements can still be made to increase Damage. You can visit the Condition Tempest page for a complete overview of the build and rotation.
Alacrity
With some minor changes you should be able to adapt to the Condition Alacrity Tempest build as well. The Alacrity version will have:
- Some Ritualist's trinkets
- The addition of
砂石狂啸 to provide more boons
清澈奇点 instead of
超验风暴, so you have to wait the full 6 seconds before you can Overload- Adjusted timing to accommodate for the longer delay before Overloading
That being said, overall the Alacrity version is very similar and follows the same principles as Condition Tempest.
