Rotation & Extras
Step 1: Deadeye's Mark and spending Initiative
Deadeye focuses primarily on one main target via
神枪手标记. You'll want to cast this on your target to trigger
钢铁瞄具, then spend your Initiative to deal damage. Follow this basic rotation for now:
神枪手标记 on your target- Cast a Stolen Skill, which gets generated by
神枪手标记 - Spend all your Initiative on
虚弱回旋 - Fill time with Auto Attacks while Initiative recharges for more
虚弱回旋 casts. - Refresh
神枪手标记 on your target when it comes off-Cooldown
Step 2: Malice and Mercy
Striking a marked target with an Initiative skill will build Malice. You can do two things with this:
- You can convert it into Initiative via
怜悯, and thus be able to cast more skills. This is an instant-cast skill! - You can use a Stolen Skill at 5 or more Malice to enter Stealth and potentially execute a Stealth Attack.
For now, we'll focus on
怜悯.
- When you cast the last
虚弱回旋 that you have Initiative for in Step 1, you can press
怜悯 during that
虚弱回旋 to refund your Initiative and
神枪手标记 cooldown. - You'll get a another Stolen Skill now from
怜悯 thanks to
密室死斗. Spend it for damage. - Refresh
神枪手标记 now and spend your Initiative as described in step 1, then reset again with your second charge of
怜悯.
Stealth Attacks replace your 1 skill on your weapon and will consume all Malice when they hit! If you want to save your Malice, you can opt to strike your enemy with another skill like
虚弱回旋 to break out of Stealth instead.
Step 3: Adding a Dagger swap
Stolen Skills are very good damage even just by themselves, but their most important use is to enable access to Stealth when you have enough Malice. This is where your Dagger set comes in!
After you've spend all that Initiative and both
怜悯 charges, you'll end up with a fresh
神枪手标记 and leftover Initiative, with which you can do the following:
- Cast
神枪手标记 to generate a new Stolen Skill. - Spend Initiative on at least 3
虚弱回旋 so you can generate 5 Malice - Weapon Swap to your Dagger Set
- Use your Stolen Skill to deal damage and enter Stealth
- Unleash a powerful
恶意背刺 from Stealth with all that stored Malice!
恶意背刺's damage scales with your accumulated Malice, making it a big payoff.
恶意钩型打击 on Staff is instead a more utility-oriented Defiance Break tool.
Step 4: Basic Dagger Rotation
Even though
恶意背刺 is strongest when loaded with Malice, it's no slouch by itself! This will be your main damage skill on Dagger. You can't spam it, however, since you have limited resources and will be gated by Revealed, so you'll want to pace yourself with the following simple loop:
*If you have no Stolen Skill available, replace it with
暗影闪烁 or
恶意复原. Remember, since you have
密室死斗, these will generate a Stolen Skill!
When
神枪手标记 is about to come off-Cooldown, swap back to your Staff set! A new charge of
怜悯 won't be far behind, allowing you to start the process all over again.
Transition to the full build:
If you've followed the steps so far, you can summarize what you've learned as follows:
- Deadeye basics such as
神枪手标记, Malice and Initiative use. - Basic Staff gameplay
- Basic Dagger gameplay
Combining these concepts leads into the formal Power Deadeye - BQoBK Staff/Dagger build.
We recommend practicing the steps on this page sequentially, slowly adding one onto the other; following the process from start to finish several times helps significantly!
Once you find yourself comfortable with them, be sure to check out the Main Build Page. There, you'll apply these concepts to learn:
- How to swap between the two weapons with a proper rythm
- A formal Opener segment
- Advanced tactics, such as special use of Dagger when the boss is under 25% Health
