Weapon Variants

• Axe is similar damage, but with more 折磨 and less 困惑. This means it will likely perform worse in real encounters (where torment loses damage and confusion gains it), plus it is a melee weapon. The difference is small enough for it to mostly be a matter of preference though, and there may be some niche situations where the evade from 对称利斧 is more useful than the block from 幻象反击.
• Focus for pulls at a DPS loss.

Skill Variants

Utility

If you need to provide utility such as, replace 双面镜像.

• 行动法池 allows you to provide an extra ~10 stacks of 威能 and ~50% 激怒 uptime. The 激怒 uptime makes it easier to hold on to 时间沉降 for CC without compromising boons.
• 衰老法池 does decent CC. Also removes boons if that is needed.
• 斥力穹窿 provides a long-duration reflect.
• 预知法池 provides 圣盾 and 稳固 to your subgroup, useful for fights like Deimos.
• 专注咒语 provides 稳固 to your group.
• 错乱咒语 for encounters that require heavy CC.
• 传送入口 if you need a portal.
• 镜像复制 allows you to get a second use out of a key skill if you'll need it more often than the cooldown. Often used together with 传送入口.

Elite

• 谦逊纹章 is a strong single-target CC on a fairly low cooldown.
• 重力陷阱 is your strongest CC, or can be used if AoE CC would be helpful.
• 时间扭曲 can be used when the CC from 重力陷阱/谦逊纹章 is not required.

Trait Variants

• The first trait in Chaos is optional and can be switch to 幻象壁垒 for permanent 保护 uptime, or 操纵大师 to provide 圣盾. In the latter case, you will need to swap 双面镜像 out for 闪光传送 so you can actually trigger it. If you swap 疯狂法则 out, you will need to slightly modify your rotation (see Usage, below).
• On encounters with boon corruption, the 稳固 from 富饶幻灭 may get corrupted into 恐惧. This may make it necessary to swap the trait out for another option: 混乱塑造 will occasionally recharge your weapon skills, which can speed up your rotation, and 万华领悟 can improve your 再生 uptime as you will gain a random boon whenever you use 虚幻魔术. This could also be valuable on encounters where 潜行 is useful, such as Harvest Temple.

A significant part of this rotation is structured around maintaining a high uptime of on yourself. This is because of the trait.

is granted when leaping or blasting in an ethereal field. is your ethereal field, and you drop a second one with thanks to . Meanwhile, is a leap finisher, and is a blast finisher. Additionally, you directly apply to yourself with and (via ).

Spacing out these sources allows for a high uptime of the aura and condition damage buff.

Note: If you aren't using , delay your weapon swap on staff in order to get a second use of .

This rotation regularly uses both to generate clones and as a leap finisher inside an ethereal field to provide . As this teleports you backward, you will need to be sure it is safe to do so, and you may wish to skip entirely if you're tanking - the rotation generates more than enough or without having to rely on the extra clones.
