Variants

• Ascended gear and stat infusions are not required; you can use exotic gear with the same stats.

If you are gearing this character from zero, start with exotic quality gear. Search the trading post for "Zhed" armor, "Hypnotic Scepter" scepter, "Usoku's Needle" dagger. Upgrade to ascended gear as you progress. See also: Guide

• You achieve 100% burning duration with this set up of runes and sigils. It is very important that you use these runes and sigils. 炼狱之火 makes burning scale with power.
• Fous can be replaced with dagger since in open world enemies are unlikely to sit in focus' 烈焰之墙
• Consider 萨奇洛斯古物 to trade a minor amount of damage for sustain.
• For defense, equip the highest tier Jade Core you can afford.

Budget consumables are acceptable for use in open world.

• Prioritize Steak Ascended food.

Evocation

Evocation is the profession mechanic of the evoker. You specialise in one attunement and gain a familiar of that element. In this build, you specialise in 火焰协调, gaining the 烈焰焚身 skill and the fire fox familiar. With the fox, you gain 威能 when you inflict 燃烧. After casting 烈焰焚身 three times, you gain 星火燎原.

We recommend you set 烈焰焚身 to autocast by pressing Control+Mouse2 on its icon.

Moreover, due to the trait 特长元素, you can only attune to 火焰协调, and 烈焰焚身 charges up faster.

Damage

This build revolves around the trait 炼狱之火, making 燃烧 scale with your power.

We recommend you set 烈焰焚身 to autocast by pressing Control+Mouse2 on its icon.

After casting two weapon skills, cast 烈焰焚身 for damage. This also reduces all your weapon skills' cooldowns by 10% of the skill's recharge time.

After casting Ignite 3 times, cast 星火燎原. This also reduces all your weapon skills' cooldowns by 20% of the skill's recharge time.

Make sure to cast 巨龙之牙 and 浴火凤凰 inside your fire fields (烈焰之墙 with Focus, 炙火之环 with Dagger) to create a combo finisher, generating 威能. (See: Guide

烈焰之墙 (or 烈焰之攫 if using dagger) will activate 烟花古物.

Defense

• Move out of attacks while casting your skills. Dodge incoming telegraphed attacks.
• You are a fully ranged build, use that to your advantage. Get away from enemies while you continue to attack them.
• If needed, use deffensive skills suchs as 大地护甲 for stunbreak, barrier and 稳固.

Skill Variants

Heals

We default to as it heals and also charges your familiar skill. Other alternatives are:

• - good passive healing and works great with evoker's fast-paced playstyle, but very weak heal on demand, leaving you vulnerable to burst damage.
• - strong burst healing and a boon based on attunement.
• - weak heal by default, but is greatly increased if it strikes nearby enemies. Performs a blast finisher, and heals for more when doing so. Excellent synergy with water combo fields. (See: Guide

• - very high healing and condition removal throughout its long channelling time. Great option for raw healing if you can afford the cast time, and it also regenerates enough endurance for one dodge.

Utilities

is a great source of damage and boons, and a stun break. Never replace it. is a great source of damage with its active skill. It should not be replaced unless really needed. is a stunbreak and gives barrier and . Can be replaced if needed. Other alternatives are:

• - great stun break that blocks attacks.
• - damage and stun break.
• - burning, condition cleanse, and stun break.
• - mobility.
• - AoE damage.

Elites

- creates a fire elemental summon with good damage. Other alternatives are:

Fire evoker is a fast paced build for open world. By specialising in with , you spam your Fire skills to melt your enemies with , which scales with your power damage due to . However, you cannot attune to the other elements.

You also provide very high amounts of to yourself and nearby allies, some directly through your skills, and some by blasting Fire combo fields (see: Guide

As a downside, this build is purely offensive and really struggles with crowd control, support, or defense. But the reduced number of skills available lowers its complexity.
