Galeshot - Power Galeshot

Power galeshot build for open world. 召唤旋风之弓 to overwhelm your enemies with all your projectiles, while providing yourself and nearby allies with permanent 急速.

As a downside, this build struggles against enemies that can block or reflect projectiles, and requires frequent weapon swapping between your 2 basic weapons and the Cyclone Bow.

Variants

• 猎食突袭 - significant damage increase but your arrows no longer pierce, so it might be worse when fighting packs of enemies.
• 尖锐刃锋 - minimal damage increase at the cost of 活力 generation.
• 迅步力量 - if using a feline, avian, or drake pet.
• 狂风之力 - when playing in groups and someone else is already providing permanent 急速.

Note that 远视 doesn't work with , so you can consider 野狼之歌 instead.

Weapon Variants

• Dual Maces - maces can replace axes to trade damage for more resilience through barrier, stability, healing, and more crowd control. Requires Expanded Weapon Proficiency from Secrets of the Obscure.

Skill Variants

Heal skill

We default to 和煦微风 for its great healing and condition removal, and it recovers one arrow for the Cyclone Bow.

Utility skill

We default to: 穿刺疾风 because it deals great damage. Do not replace it. 西北寒风 because it increases your projectile damage, and galeshots fire lots of projectiles. Do not replace it. 旋风行动 as a stunbreak and mobility skill. Can be replaced if you don't need this defensive option. If you want or need to run other skills, here are some suggestions:

• 风暴精魂 - extra AoE damage and cc.
• 冰霜陷阱 - extra AoE damage.
• "快保护我！" - AoE stunbreak and personal barrier.
• 野性纹章 - passive damage. Never activate it.
• 新生纹章 - in condition heavy fights to cleanse conditions, but be ready to swap pets if its health gets too low.

Elite skill

We default to 完美风暴 for its great damage and crowd control, and it recovers two arrows for the Cyclone Bow. On very rare situations, it can be replaced by:

• 自然精魂 - sacrifices your damage for an AoE revive.

Pet variants

The suggested Rock Gazelle has decent damage and crowd control on both one of its normal attacks and its Beast skill, so it will help with activating 激动捕获. On the other hand, the Carrion Devourer has decent damage. You can use other pets if you'd like, here are some options:

High damage pets

• Jacaranda, any feline such as Lynx, and bird such as Hawk.

Good mix of damage and crowd control

• Smokescale, Rock Gazelle, Boar, any canine such as Alpine Wolf.

Good on-demand crowd control

• Rock Gazelle, Pink Moa, Electric Wyvern, Wolf.

Tanky pets

• Drakes such as Marsh Drake provide the best mix of damage and tankiness, but bears, porcines, and devourers are also very tanky pets.

Budget consumables are acceptable for use in open world.

DPS

• Prioritize Steak Ascended food.
• 盘装辛辣陆行鸟翅膀 / 碗装甜辣冬南瓜汤
• 超级磨刀石 / 罐装水果蛋糕

Defense

Berserker

This set uses gear similar to that of Build

If you are gearing this character from zero, start with exotic quality gear. Search the trading post for "Nika" armor. Then search for the weapons you want to use: "Serpentstone" mace, "Maw of the Damned"/"Shattered Axe"/"Serpent's Wrath Axe" axe, "Eir's Longbow" longbow. Upgrade to ascended gear as you progress. • This set provides 100% critical chance thaks to 严酷追猎 and 捕猎战术.
• For relic alternatives, you can use 烟花古物 if you lack access to Claw, or 萨奇洛斯古物 to trade a minor amount of damage for sustain.
• For defense, equip the highest tier Jade Core you can afford.

召唤旋风之弓 is the profession mechanic of the galeshot. It replaces your current weapon with a wind bow. The bow starts with 8 arrows, which replenish over time. Using Squall skills (the galeshot's heal, utility, and elite skills) also replenishes arrows.

Casting bow skills 2 to 5 consumes arrows. After consuming 5 arrows, 鹰眼射击 replaces skill 1. However, if you leave the Cyclone Bow, your stacks of consumed arrows are lost.

Due to the trait 云爆之箭, the cooldown of 箭雨倾泻 (skill 2) is reset when using 猎物危机 (skill 4) or 超声箭矢 (skill 5). Additionally, the trait 激动捕获 recovers an arrow when you or your pet crowd control an enemy, but mind its 0.25 internal cooldown.

Damage

• Provide 急速 by using 箭雨倾泻 and 鹰眼射击 thanks to the trait 云爆之箭.
• To effectively use Cyclone Bow, you want to enter, cast your skills to generate 5 Wind Force, cast 鹰眼射击 and leave. One way to do that is to enter the bow, use 箭雨倾泻, 猎物危机, 箭雨倾泻, 超声箭矢 and 鹰眼射击.
  • If Supersonic Arrow is on cooldown, replace it with 疾驰风裔 and auto attack until you can cast 箭雨倾泻 again and finish with 鹰眼射击.
  • Remember that your stacks of Wind Force are lost when you stow the bow.
• Entering the Cyclone Bow does not cancel your current skill.
• Always use 解散旋风之弓 to stow the bow, as it will not cancel your current skill. Do not use weapon swap to stow the bow because it will cancel your current skill. This is especially important so you do not interrupt 鹰眼射击.
• Use 西北寒风 before unleashing your projectile burst to deal higher damage.
• Maintain 迅捷 or 奔驰疾速 to activate 掠食鸟类. You can easily gain switness from 顺风动势 and 乘风破浪, which also activates when swapping to/from the Cyclone Bow.
• Crowd control recovers 1 arrow thanks to 激动捕获. Squall skills, such as 西北寒风, also recover one arrow, but 完美风暴 recovers two.

Axe/Axe

• Use all your axe skills for damage.
• Use 分裂之刃 in melee range to hit your target with all axes and deal more damage.
• 回旋防御 deals massive damage but has a long casting time, but you should have permanent quickness from 云爆之箭.

Longbow

• Longbow works great for starting fights with Barrage and Rapid Fire, but has less sustained damage. It also works great with .
• activates for boons. However, do not use Point-Black Shot to push enemies away from your allies. This is not a concern against enemies with a defiance bar.
• Remember that you can enter the Cyclone Bow while casting or and they will not get interrupted.

Defense

• This is a fully ranged build, always keep moving. Move out of dangerous attacks or dodge them.
